The Monroe Garden Club Officer Installation Luncheon was held on Saturday, Sept. 18th at the Olive Garden in Middletown. The OAGC Region 4 Fall Meeting will be held in October and members were encouraged to attend. The Monroe Garden Club will celebrate their 50th Anniversary on Tuesday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m. at the Monroe Historical Society Building on Elm Street. The program for the evening will be Floral Interpretation of Historical Quilts. Outgoing President Anna Hale presided over the installation of officers for the coming year using the OAGC “Just Our Cup of Tea” ceremony. New officers are President Jessie Hull, Vice President Beth Heinkel, Secretary Peggy Abernathy and Treasurer Tina Tores. Mrs. Hale presented outgoing officers gifts of appreciation.
