Bob Bryant was killed Saturday riding his Harley on Rt. 4. He was hit by a driver of a car. Bob was an icon in the local soccer community, keeping soccer alive year round - a necessity to being competitive. He was co-owner of The Field, the indoor complex in Monroe. It was Bob and Dave Dirksen, his partner, who were instrumental in starting the many kids/adult indoor soccer leagues and sand volleyball leagues.
For those who knew Bob, you will not be surprised to hear he did not want a funeral. I believe the family is planning a memorial service.
Bob leaves his wife, Bonnie, and three children to carry on his legacy. The soccer community has lost a great friend.
