Monroe Lending Library features activities around books and reading. Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too? is a craft Mother's Day Cardmaking activity. In June there will be a reading contest which begins June 4th and runs until June 25th. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 contest winners. Adult activities include needlecraft and a Mark Twain book review. Details below:

Monroe Lending Library Quarter Auctions
The Monroe Lending Library Quarter Auctions will be held on Friday, May 6th and Friday June 3rd at the Mount Pleasant Activity Room (corner of Indiana and Northwestern Ave.) Preview and seating begins at 6:15 p.m. Auction is from 7-9 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Monroe Lending Library and Operating Fund. JUNE READING CONTEST
The Library Reading Contest begins Saturday, June 4th and ends on Saturday June 25th. Prizes will be given to the top three readers. To be counted, the books must be checked out from the Monroe Lending Library. Get ready to read.
