Aug 23 Agenda Summary
The next council meeting will likely see the Jan 25th tabled item regarding the city building water damage repair, tabled further. There will be a move to decrease hours contained in the definition of full time and part time changed.
Council will appreciate Patrol Officer Larry Line for his service to the community.
Council will likely authorize city manager Bill Brock to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with International association of firefighters, local 3824. Additionally council will likely authorize manager Brock to enter a HIPAA agreement in connection with Monroe EMS billing. Emergidata, Inc will be assisting Monroe on this project. Emergidata offers scalable and cost effective EMS Data Collection and Billing Solutions to a wide array of public and private EMS and Fire-Rescue organizations.

On the I75 and RT63 front, council will be asked to approve the start of the Gateway Landscaping Project. More info: $1.45 Million Planned to Beautify Monroe I-75 Interchange.
Council will be asked to approve the completion of the ST RT 63 Signal Inter-connect Project to help with traffic flows to and from Interstate 75.
There has been some Confusion over Monroe's Admission Tax Ordinance. Council will change the definition to help clear up the confusion.
Lastly there are these housekeeping items:
1. Certifying unpaid unpaid assessments to the Butler County Auditor for mowing of property in violation of Chapter 674 of the Codified Ordinances.
2. Levy assessments for street lighting
3. Establishing October 31st as Beggar's Night.

Emergency Resolution No. 07-2011. A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement by and between the City of Monroe and SFA Architects, Inc. for professional architectural services for the repair of water damage at the Monroe Urban Center and declaring an emergency. (Tabled January 25, 2011)
Ordinance No. 2011-20. An Ordinance amending the Personnel Policy Manual to decrease the hours contained in the definition of full-time and part-time employees. (Second Reading)
New Business
Emergency Resolution No. 41-2011. A Resolution expressing appreciation to Patrol Officer Larry Line for his dedicated service to the City of Monroe and declaring an emergency.
Emergency Resolution No. 42-2011. A Resolution to authorize the City Manager to enter into a Collective Bargaining Agreement by and between the City of Monroe and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 3824, and declaring an emergency.
Emergency Resolution No. 43-2011. A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement and PCR Suite Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement by and between the City of Monroe and EmergiData, Inc. in connection with EMS Billing, and declaring an emergency.
Resolution No. 44-2011. A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to request the Director of Transportation to proceed with the Gateway Landscaping Project.
Resolution No. 45-2011. A Resolution granting consent to and cooperating with the Director of the Ohio Department of Transportation to complete the State Route 63 Signal Inter-connect Project.
Emergency Ordinance No. 2011-21. An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2010-27 to change the definition of Admission Charge and declaring an emergency.
Emergency Ordinance No. 2011-22. An Ordinance directing the Director of Finance to certify any and all unpaid assessments to the Butler County Auditor for all unpaid water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and trash accounts, and declaring an emergency.
