Accoring to the agenda, the newly elected members of council will be sworn in on January 10, 2012 at approximately 6:35 pm, prior to the 'Pledge of Allegiance'. The newly elected include incumbents Suzi Rubin, Lora Stillman, Bob Kelley and Steve Black.

Also nomininations and votes by council for the mayor and vice mayor will take place immediately after roll call. Monroe's current Mayor is Robert Routson and the Vice Mayor is Anna Hale.
