The City was once again awarded the Drug Use Prevention Program Grant (formerly DARE) in the amount of $13,407.34. We had requested $14,113.00. The grant funds are used to pay for the entire curriculum, material, books and wages and benefits to prepare and conduct the DARE program in the School District. It also allows for his salary to be paid during such functions as the Mock Crash and DUI/alcohol abuse education to driving and health classes. There is no required match for this grant.
