During the months of September and October, the Monroe United Methodist Jump-Start Childrens' Ministry, led by Mrs. Kelly Waugh, and BLAZE Youth Ministry, led by Mrs. Brittany Henson, will be collecting donations of winter clothing and Halloween costumes, and we are asking the community to join us! As many in our community and the surrounding area are living on tight budgets this fall, we know the cost of warm clothing and the luxury of a new halloween costume can be out of reach for many, especially multi-child families. And we want to help! Donations of new or gently used winter clothes (jeans, boots, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, etc.) and Halloween costumes for all ages will be accepted this month and next.
Then, on Sunday, October 21st, a FREE clothing and costumes giveaway event will be hosted for the community at Monroe UMC, 206 East Ave. from 6 to 7:30pm. Please help us make this giveaway a HUGE success for families in our community. Your donations are so much appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at the Monroe UMC church offices, M-F 10am-1pm in September and October.
