Today at the Monroe Business Council meeting, Jay T. Stewart, Director of Development for the City of Monroe, confirmed the rumor that the city was in talks with a grocery store. He was unwilling to discuss the name of the store or the location of interest at this time. However, IGA is NOT interested.
