| Americana Amusement Park, not shutting its doors for lack of trying to draw bigger crowds. They were awarded 5 Brass Ring Awards at the 1999 International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Annual Trade Show held in Atlanta. This is the largest show of its kind for the Amusement Park Industry, over 12,000 exhibitors attended.
Each year IAAPA recognizes the marketing professionals who demonstrate the highest degree of originality, creativity, and excellence. It is the most competitive award of its kind with more than 800 entries considered this year.
The 5 awards were presented in the Class of "Amusement Parks with attendance up to 250,000".
They won First Place Brass Rings for their Brochures, Print Advertising, Outdoor Signage, and Television Commercials. They received a Second Place Brass Ring for their Radio Commercials.
On another note, Paramount Kings Island did not win any awards in their Class.
Park River Corporation, also owners Of Coney Island in Cincinnati, announced in early January that they would not reopen Americana Amusement Park for the 2000 season. |
