Candidates for the open City Council seat will be interviewed Thursday, January 15, 2004. It is the goal of council to make a decision by Friday, January 23, 2004.
There are 16 candidates for the position. Most attended Tuesday night’s city council meeting.
Each candidate will interviewed by council for 15 to 20 minutes Thursday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The seat opened when Councilman Robert Youtsler resigned immediately after being sworn in Jan. 1. Youtsler contends that he did not resign because he was not going to get the Mayor position. Youtsler cited family reasons for leaving office.
